Selah Anne Clark

She's Here!!
Selah Anne Clark was born Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 3:46 am.
8lbs. 0oz. 21 in.
and PERFECT!

This birth experience was MUCH different than Andre's! Labor was about 9 hours (21 with Andre). We got to the hospital at midnight and she was born just a few hours later! It was a drug-free labor thanks to prayer and great support! (epidural with Andre) Selah began breastfeeding when she was just an hour old! (no success with Andre)
Two opposite experiences that led to the same wonderful result...two healthy children that we are madly in love with!
Mommy/Daughter Time! We were just planning our first trip to the spa to get matching mani/pedis...
"Mommy, can I get highlights?"
"No. honey, I don't care if your dad is the greatest hair stylist in the world-one day old is TOO young for highlights. Besides, you don't have any hair!"

Two days was the longest I've ever gone without seeing Andre and I missed him so much! Finally the day we were discharged he came to the hospital to meet his little sister.
Somehow he tripled in size from just two days earlier...he went from my baby to my BIG boy! sniff. sniff.
This is our first family photo. :) (thanks Mimi)

First night home and dad already looks tired! This was the part we weren't looking forward to...sleepless nights! :/
We put her in her crib, tuned the monitor up as loud as it would go and checked on her 1,846 times.
She slept great-we didn't. :)

Not to worry Dad! Now we are in a routine...We put Andre to bed, give Selah a bath, Dad feeds her, Mom swaddles her, turn on the sound machine and its off to Sleepy Town!

BTW- Dad is the champion burper. In this picture Selah knows its just a matter of time before....BBBUUUUUURRRRRP! :)

Not a chance she can get out of that swaddle!!
Sleeping like a baby!

Selah's first holiday was St. Patrick's Day! She didn't actually get to eat the family tradition green pancakes....she got them about an hour later in milk form. :)
Next Year Selah!!

She was much more excited about the next holiday...EASTER! She wore this beautiful blue dress she got from her GiGi.
She looked like an Easter egg! and although she didn't actually get to eat any eggs...well...you know.
Isn't she sweet? ;)

Instead of posing with the Easter bunny Selah decided to pose AS the Easter bunny!

Get used to it Selah..your Mom LIVES for stuff like this! :)

The Easter Bonnie...er..Bunny left Andre a basket full of toys and organic fruit snacks. Andre's favorite was the harmonica (as you can tell here!)

Despite my efforts, this is the only decent picture I have of the siblings together. I think because Andre thinks its gross to sit next to a girl. He is, however, facinated with her tiny toes!!

Selah inherited Daddy's gene that allows oneself to take excellent self-portraits with the camera.
She snapped this one of herself while she was in the car seat..
:)

And finally...my smart boy counts to ten!!
listen in the end he says, "8,9,10,Dada!"

I love it!! I can't believe he can count to ten and you can actually tell he's counting to ten!! He's brilliant. And Selah's intense stare into the camera already makes me think our little girl (in utero) doesn't have a chance in the staring contests. She's good. Real good Bonnie.
